Andrew Weissmann is a renowned American attorney who served as the head of the criminal fraud section of the US Department of Justice beginning in 2015. In June 2017, Andrew was appointed to a management role in the 2017 Special Lawyers team led by Robert Mueller.
To assume the new role, Weissmann retired from his position in the criminal section of the Department of Justice. After the conclusion of the special prosecutor’s investigation in 2019, Andrew joined the private sector.
Andrew is a proud graduate of Princeton University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in 1980. He then secured a Fulbright Scholarship to the University of Geneva, where he attended and graduated from Columbia Law School (1984).
