After Glenda graduated from law school, she completed a coveted federal internship at United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia and later at Delta Air Lines. Fortunately, at Delta, she has become the airline’s most important woman of color worldwide, serving as a senior attorney and public relations manager. As a senior, she litigated cases in federal courts. As a public relations manager, she oversaw global crisis management and medical relations for all of Europe, Asia and the United States. Glenda received the Emory Medal, the highest award given to a Mount Holyoke College alumnus.
In 1990, Glenda left Delta Airlines with the aim of becoming Chief Justice of the Juvenile Court of Fulton County, Georgia. In addition, she became the first African American presiding judge of a state court and department head of one of the largest juvenile court systems in the country.
Glenda left Fulton County in 2000. She began chairing the nationally distributed television show Judge Hatchett for eight seasons at Sony Pictures Television.
