Biography of Aubrey Urbanowicz
Aubrey Urbanowicz is an American meteorologist who currently serves as the chief meteorologist for WHSV. She joined the network in 2010. In addition to serving as chief meteorologist, she travels through schools and the community talking about the weather. Additionally, she teaches an LLI class at JMU.
She became interested in the weather while working as a corporate trainer for a restaurant chain. After that, she went back to school to study meteorology and graduated in 2009. She graduated from Mississippi State University with a bachelor’s degree in meteorology.
Aubrey has been in 6 hurricanes starting with Hurricane Gloria at age 4. She has also been in four hurricanes as a corporate trainer for Chilies. That’s basically how she ended up becoming a meteorologist.
