Carson Daly Biography
Carson Daly is an American TV Host, Radio Personality, Producer, and Television Personality. Daly was a VJ on MTV’s Total Request Live prior to 2003, and a DJ for radio station 106.7 KROQ-FM located in Southern California. He is an alumnus of Santa Monica High School and was a member of the school’s golf and drama team. Once, he wanted to be a priest.
So Carson studied theology at Loyola Marymount University but left to pursue a career in his favorite sport of golf within a year. Daly began his radio career at College of the Desert and as an intern at the former KCMJ FM (now KKUU) under the name “Kid Carson”. He also interned with Jimmy Kimmel on the radio.
In 2002, Carson joined NBC, where he began hosting and producing the late-night talk show Last Call with Carson Daily. He occasionally hosted the schedule of special events for NBC, such as the Macy’s Fourth of July fireworks show, and executive produced New Year’s Eve with Carson Daly of Times Square from 2003.
Since then, Daly has been involved in more prominent roles on NBC, such as becoming a host of the reality show The Voice in 2011. He also joined NBC Today’s morning show as a social media correspondent in 2013, and with his role increasing in following years becoming a co-host.

Carson began his broadcasting career at radio station KOME in San Jose, California. He then received the 6pm to 10pm time slot on KOME’s sister station KRQQ in Los Angeles. During his service on KRQQ, MTV hired Carson to serve as a VJ during MTV’s summer beach house lineup called “Motel California”.
