Belinda Jensen is an American meteorologist who currently serves as chief meteorologist at KARE 11 News in Minneapolis, Minnesota since 1990. Prior to that, she worked for the National Weather Service in Salt Lake City. She also worked at KTV, an ANB affiliate in Salt Lake City.
Belinda earned her AMS Seal of Approval for broadcast meteorology and graduated from the University of Wisconsin at Madison with a bachelor’s degree in meteorology.
Furthermore, she did her high school graduate studies from the University of Utah. Belinda enjoys serving her community through involvement in schools, trying to involve students, particularly girls, in science.
In addition to her work, she has become an author, author of six children’s books on becoming a climate expert and helping children with climate anxiety. She claims the mood is never boring and the accompanying creativity is fun.
