Clarissa Ward is an Anglo-American journalist who currently serves as CNN’s lead international correspondent. Prior to his current role, Ward was a correspondent for CBS News, based in London. She also worked as a Moscow news correspondent for ABC News before joining CBS News.
Ward was raised in New York, where she attended and graduated from Godstowe and Wycombe Abbey boarding schools in England. Later, she graduated from Yale University in 2002. Furthermore, she is an honorary Doctor of Letters from Middlebury College.
After graduating, she began her career as a night table assistant at Fox News in 2003. From 2004 to 2005, she was an editor at Fox News. She later worked in the international office coordinating coverage of stories like the capture of Saddam Hussein.
