Tim Deegan biography
Tim Deegan is an American meteorologist who has currently served as First Coast’s chief meteorologist since he joined the station in 1982. He broadcasts the weather during the weekday nightly news. Prior to joining First Coast News, he worked at KRIS in Corpus Christi, Texas and KBTX in Bryan, Texas.
he graduated in Texas A&M University in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology. The following year, Christi became a certified member of the American Meteorological Society. In 2005, he became one of the first 100 people to become an AMS-certified broadcaster.
In addition, he is known for his involvement with the community and especially his interest in teaching children about meteorology. When he is off duty, he spends time working with his wife at their foundation, the Donna Foundation. The Donna Foundation is dedicated to helping those living with breast cancer.
