Lindsey Slater biography
Lindsey Slater is a well-known American meteorologist who is currently in the Greater Milwaukee area working as a meteorologist and weather correspondent for WISN 12 News. She joined the station in 2016. Prior to joining WISN-TV, she worked in the Springfield, Missouri area as a morning and noon weather forecaster for KSPR-TV for a period of 4 years and 1 month.
She attended a local high school and later attended and graduated from Mississippi State University with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast meteorology. Later, she obtained a BA in Resource Management and another in Environmental Science.
After graduation, Lindsey worked in the Greater Milwaukee area for WISN TV Channel 12, where she began her career as an intern from September 2006 to December 2006. She also worked with the Noaa National Weather Service as an intern and volunteer from March 2007 to January 2008 Lindsey then acted on WKOW TV Channel 27 based in Madison, Wisconsin Area as an intern from May 2008 to January 2009.

She also worked at Fox 40 WDBD-TV starting out as a morning weather forecaster before being promoted to co-host on Fox 40 am She worked here from February 2009 to June 2012. From August 2008 to January 2009 she worked as a graphic editor at the Time Center. While here, she prepared text summaries to accompany weather map graphics purposely made for television customers and collected weather data via the internet, email, and phone-entry data using the 4-D database.
Prior to working at WISN-TV, she worked in the Springfield, Missouri Area as a morning and noon weather forecaster at KSPR-TV from June 2012 to June 2016. Here, Lindsey worked in the weather department from 5 am to 7 am. and updated Weather Line’s calling service, sent daily weather emails/texts to subscribers, uploaded webcasts to the web, and hosted What’s Going Around. Most notably, she joined WISN-TV as a weekend night weather forecaster in June 2016, but was later promoted to a morning weather forecaster position in August 2019 and works in that position to date.
