Matt Yarosewick Biography
Matt Yarosewick is an American meteorologist who currently serves as a full-time morning meteorologist at WNDU-TV in the South Bend-Mishawaka region of the United States. He joined the station in March 2021. Previously, Yarosewick worked at Gray Television as a weekend weatherman from June 2020 to February 2021.
In addition, he worked as a meteorologist student at downtown county report from September 2019 to June 2020. In addition, Matt was also a meteorology student at Pennsylvania State University from August 2015 to June 2020. Additionally, he was a meteorology intern at CBS 3 for a period of three months.
From a very young age, Matt was interested in the weather. His love of the weather began with intense East Coast snowstorms and severe weather. When Hurricane Katrina hit Louisiana in 2005, Yarosewick found he wanted to make sure people were safe when the weather got worse. Yarosewick majored in meteorology at one of the top atmospheric science schools, Pennsylvania State University. During his time at university, not only did he learn everything he could in the classroom, but he also immersed himself in several award-winning shows. Fortunately, he became a host and regular host of Weather World, an Emmy Award-winning show. Furthermore, in his senior year, Matt joined the Center County Report staff as a Friday weatherman. During the semester, the group won the first prize for best general newscast for the Society of Professional Journalism.
Additionally, Matt graduated in May 2020 with a degree in Meteorology: Weather Forecasting and Communications, and was excited to join the WNDU First Alert Weather Team and provide the most accurate forecasts and keep all of Michiana up to date.
During Yarosewick’s free time, he enjoys going out, playing golf, going to the lake to fish, enjoying a relaxing day at the beach, as well as being a sports freak. Furthermore, he is always loyal to his Nittany Lions and likes to root for his Philadelphia Flyers and Phillies and also watch any sport on TV whenever he can.
