Tim Deegan Biography
Tim Deegan is an American meteorologist who currently works as the chief meteorologist at First Coast since joining the station in 1982. He broadcasts the weather during the weekday evening newscasts. Prior to joining First Coast News, he worked at KRIS in Corpus Christi, Texas, and KBTX in Bryan, Texas.
He graduated in Texas A&M University in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology. The following year, Christi became a certified member of the American Meteorological Society. In 2005, he became one of the first 100 people to become an AMS-certified broadcaster.
Additionally, he is well known for his community involvement and especially his interest in teaching children about meteorology. When he is off-duty, he spends his time working with his wife on her foundation, the Donna Foundation. The Donna Foundation is dedicated to helping those living with breast cancer.
