Jane Coaston is an American journalist who currently works as the editor and host of “The Argument”. She primarily writes about politics, BLM, and topics related to sexuality. Previously, she was a senior politics reporter at VOX, focusing on conservatism and the Republican Party. Coaston’s work has appeared on MSNBC, CNN, and NPR, and in National Review.
Additionally, she has been featured in The Washington Post, The Ringer, and ESPN Magazine, among others. She is also a former resident fellow at the Institute of Politics at the University of Chicago. A proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, Jane attended and graduated from the University of Michigan and resides in Washington.
In March 2012, she joined the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation as a Media Relations Coordinator. While there, she supported communications efforts in African-based country programs by defining communications protocols and translating them into engaging content. However, after working here for 1 year and 7 months, she left the foundation in September 2013.
