Alan Frio is an American journalist who currently works for WSMV-TV Nashville, Tennessee as a reporter and 4:00 p.m. news anchor on weekends. He used to anchor Channel 4’s morning show, News 4 Today, and Noon News before being promoted to weekend news anchor. Frio is a graduate of Temple University in Philadelphia. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Communications.
After graduating, he joined the Philadelphia-based CBS-owned station WCAU-TV. He worked there as an anchor and reporter for the main evening newscast from 1982 to 1984. Later in 2004, he joined WSMV as an anchor and reporter. He is currently the station’s weekend anchor at 4 p.m.
