Amanda Busick is an American journalist who currently works as a multimedia reporter for the National Hot Rod Association on behalf of Fox Sports. On the other hand, her career started her internship at her local television station in North Carolina and later in Chicago. His first on-camera appearance was as a Time Warner Cable Sports side reporter at the North Carolina High School Athletic Association in 2014.
Her tenure at the NHRA began in 2016 and she was the Formula E reporter for the New York City ePrix in 2018 and 2019. Raised in Greensboro, Northern California, Busick grew up participating in sporting events including football, basketball, drag racing, and dirt track racing. She first attended Northeast Middle School and later moved to Northeast Guilford High School.
In her school years, she maintained a strong interest in journalism and writing by watching a local news bulletin. She graduated from Northeast Guilford High School ahead of the rest of her class in December 2004. Busick then enrolled at North Carolina State University in 2005 and graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a concentration in entrepreneurship in 2008. .

After her education, she started her career by interning at her local television station. In 2010, she moved from North Carolina to New York with the ambition to get a job as a sports reporter. She worked as an intern during the day and worked as a waitress in a restaurant at night. Busick managed to convince a Chicago-based digital sports college company called Campus Insiders to employ her as a production assistant in 2012.
In late 2014, Busick had her first on-camera role as a side reporter for Time Warmer Cable Sports covering the North Carolina High School Athletic Association, which was shortly after she signed a contract with an agent to advance her career. Later, she took a job as a stage manager for ESPN. In early 2015, she found employment as a meat saleswoman and bartender in Boston after her family had a financial hardship that required them to live together.
Luckily, she got a call from National Hot Rod Association Vice President and Chief Content Officer Ken Adelson in July 2015 about a job on the series. She has little knowledge of drag racing and spent the next three months researching the sport. In October 2015, Busick attended her first national NHRA event in Dallas, writing two features for the series interviewing various pilots.
After the weekend, the NHRA invited her to a feature on their red carpet ceremony ahead of the official banquet in Los Angeles. She was given the role of multimedia reporter for the NHRA on November 16, 2015. Busick took the role at the official broadcaster of the Fox Sports series at the start of the 2016 season.
