Amelia Adams is a well-known Australian journalist, presenter, producer and reporter. She works as a presenter on Nine News and also as a reporter for the 60 Minute Network. Additionally, Adams received the Kennedy Award for Best TV News Reporting, as well as the Foreign Correspondent Award.
Adams was born in Sydney, Australia but raised in France. She completed high school at a local high school in her hometown and later attended Charles Sturt University. She majored in Journalism and soon after began her career with Sky News Australia. After that, she moved and joined Seven News and Sunrise where she worked as a producer and reporter. Prior to that, Amelia also served as a presenter and reporter on Network Ten in Brisbane and Ten News.
In 2008, she joined the Nine News staff as a general reporter. While there, Adams covered extensive news such as the Christmas Island boat tragedy, international stories, and world events. In 2011, she traveled to Japan to cover the tsunami and nuclear disaster. That same year, Adams also reported on the Commonwealth Games and Queensland’s Cyclone Yasi story.
Furthermore, she also served as a news presenter on Today and Weekend Today. Then Amelia replaced Wendy Kingston after she went on maternity leave and hosted the Nine Morning and Afternoon News. In 2013, she was selected to work alongside Wendy on Nine Morning News and Nine Afternoon News. In addition to her reporting duties, Amelia regularly served as a presenter on the Nine Morning and Afternoon News.
