Arthur Chi’en biography
Arthur Chi’en is a three-time Emmy Award-winning Asian journalist and currently works as an anchor and reporter at Fox 5 News in New York. He has also been an adjunct professor at New York University since May 2019.
Arthur attended Hunter College and ColUniversity of Umbia. He then began his journalist career at NBC News. At NBC, he worked as a producer for NBC’s Nightly News with Tom Brokaw, as well as a producer for the New York Bureau for the Today Show.
From NBC, Arthur worked as a reporter for the New York 1 News in the Greater New York area. After spending two years at the network, he moved to WCBS-TV to work as a news correspondent.
Arthur’s next move saw him join WPIX-TV as a general correspondent for all news. After serving WPIX-Tv for nine years, Chi’en decided to go out to co-partner in the SantAnna Mykonos establishment in Greece.
Since May 2019, Arthur has been an Adjunct Professor at New York University. He teaches courses focused on equipping students with the fundamentals of media and reporting. As of May 2014, Arthur joined Fox 5 News as an anchor and reporter.
As a member of the Special Unit, Arthur has covered a number of high-profile events, from hurricanes to plane crashes and major tests, including the TWA 800 crash and the trial of Megan Kanka. His other notable assignments included the Oklahoma City bombing, the arrest and subsequent trial of OJ Simpson, and election coverage for Decision 1994 and 1996.
