Ben Bradley Biography (Anchor)
Ben Bradley (anchor) is an Emmy Award-winning investigative reporter, currently co-anchoring the WGN Evening News from 4pm to 5pm with Lourdes Duarte. He joined Chicago’s Very Own WGN Investigates team in January 2017.
Prior to joining WGN-TV, Bradley worked for 14 years at WLS-TV, ABC7 in Chicago as a reporter and weekend morning anchor. While reporting for WLS-TV, he traveled the world on various stories, including trips to Brazil, China, the Caribbean and nearly a dozen states.
Bradley started your career in 1994 at the KOMU-TV in Columbia, MO as a weather anchor and reporter. he then joined WCBD-TV in Charleston, SC as a weekday news reporter and weather anchor. From 1998 to 2002, Bradley worked as a weekend anchor and reporter for the Tribune newspaper. CLTV
In recent years, Bradley’s work has been recognized with five Emmy awards for its breaking news coverage. He was also honored with two Silver Dome Awards from the Illinois Broadcasters Association for his investigative reporting and a documentary on the legacy of former mayor Richard M. Daley. Furthermore, Ben is also an active member of the Association of Investigative Reporters and Editors. He is also past president of the Chicago Headline Club, which, until then, was the nation’s largest chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.
Bradley was born and raised in the southern suburbs of Chicago. He went to Homewood-Flossmoor Middle School. He later received his bachelor’s degree in Journalism from University of Missouri-Columbia.
