He joined the station as a general assignment reporter in 2016, where he led coverage of the Green Bay Packers as well as Marquette and Wisconsin track and field. Prior to joining the network, Brandon worked at WDJT TV CBS.

Brandon realized his passion for journalism after entering high school. He became a writer for “The Amadon”, the newspaper at Amador Valley High School in Pleasanton, CA. The following year, Cruz became the newspaper’s sports editor. He then got the opportunity to work as an intern for his uncle, Gary Cruz, at KCAL in Los Angeles.
In Los Angeles, Brandon met and spent time with Scully at Dodger Stadium during the 5 years I was at KCAL. He soon rose through the ranks and became a sports producer, covering many of the same athletes he wrote book reports about as a child.
After college, Brandon was hired as the Sports Director for KVEW-KAPP in Tri-Cities, WA. This gave him the opportunity to cover sports in Pocatello, ID, Colorado Springs, CO and Denver, CO before coming to Milwaukee in 2006.
