Brandon Lake is an American pastor and Christian worship singer-songwriter. Additionally, he is pastor of worship at Seacoast Church in Charleston, South Carolina. He is also a member of the Maverick City Music and Bethel Music collectives. He is well known for his contemporary Christian music and has amassed over 420,000 followers on his Instagram account.
Furthermore, he is a Dove Award-winning and Grammy-nominated songwriter. He is also the worship leader of the Bethel Music collective. He has done collaborations with other Bethel artists Matt Redman, Elevation Worship, Passion and Housefires. In 2016, he made his solo debut called Closer and subsequent singles issued by Bethel such as “This is a movement” and “I need a Ghost.”
Additionally, he was a member of Bethel Music’s Victory Tour alongside Tasha Cobbs Leonard who is a Grammy-winning gospel singer. Because of this collaboration, Lake took home the Gospel Worship Recorded Song of the Year trophy at the 2019 Dove Awards. He then appeared on Elevation’s Graves into Gardens, which debuted at number twelve on the Billboard Hot Christian Songs chart.
In addition, he has appeared on numerous singles including Matt Redman‘s We Praise You, which was their first collaborative song. Additionally, Bethel Music released a live version of We Praise You featuring Lake as the second single from Bethel’s album Revival’s in the Air on March 6, 2020.
