Constance Jones is an award-winning American journalist who currently works as a TV news anchor and reporter at NBC6 South Florida, having joined the 8 News family in October 2018. She attended the Politehnica University of Timisoara. She later joined Sam Houston State University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts-BFA in Radio, Television and Digital Communication.
Jones has worked in several television markets including New York, Miami, Oklahoma City and Atlanta. She also worked with veteran journalist Dan Rathe on the CBS Evening News. Furthermore, she spent 9 years working at WPLG-TV-ABC in Miami as an anchor and reporter.
Jones worked at WLRN National Public Radio in South Florida. Most recently, she served as a news anchor on WAGA-TV-FOX5 Atlanta. Jones also spent time as an anchor and reporting on KETK-TV in Texas and KOCO-TV in Oklahoma.
In addition to television, she worked alongside the Broward State Attorney as Director of Communications for the 17th Florida Judicial Circuit. She has been honored by the National Academy of Television Arts and Science, the Texas Associated Press, and the National Association of Black Journalists for Excellence in News Reporting. Additionally, she was featured as Miami’s Top 40 Under 40 Leaders of Tomorrow in Legacy Magazine.
