Brandon Marshall biography

Brandon Marshall is a former football player who now works as a sports television host on Showtimes Inside the NFL, which he has co-hosted for the past seven seasons. He was picked in the fourth round of the 2006 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos after playing 13 seasons in the NFL and one season of college football at UCF.

Marshall also had experience with the Miami Dolphins, Chicago Bears, New York Jets, New York Giants and Seattle Seahawks. He became a TV personality shortly after retiring from the NFL and was a former co-host of the FS1 morning show First Things First. He currently co-hosts Inside the NFL on Showtime.

Brandon was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and raised in Georgia and Florida, where he studied Lake Howell Middle School and played football. He was a mailman in basketball and an extortionist three times at his school. He earned All-State praise and was awarded the Seminole County Utility Player of the Year playing both offense and defense.

Later, he participated in University of Central Florida, where he played wide receiver for the UCF Knights football team in 44 games (21 as a starter). During his college career, he had 112 receptions, 1,674 yards and 13 touchdowns. In the 2005 Hawaii Bowl, Marshall had the best game of his career, with 11 receptions for 210 yards and three touchdowns. Furthermore, he was named the MVP of the game. For his efforts during the 2005 season, Marshall was selected to the All-C-USA second team.

Brandon is also known for his ability to break and avoid tackles. In the 2007 NFL season, he surpassed all wide receivers in yards after contact. Additionally, Marshall set an NFL record for most receptions in a game with 21 against the Indianapolis Colts on December 13, 2009. He is also one of six players in NFL history to catch 100 passes three times in a row. Furthermore, Brandon started his NFL career in 2006 with Denver Broncos.

After a four-year stint with the Broncos, he spent two seasons with the Miami Dolphins and three years with the Chicago Bears before a 2015 trade sent him to the New York Jets.

Furthermore, Marshall was nicknamed “The Beast” during his NFL career. He likes to restore old cars. He is also a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity and does charity work with them, as well as being involved in an ongoing effort to rebuild Larimer Park in Pittsburgh.
