Lindsay Czarniak Biography
Lindsay Czarniak is an American sports anchor and reporter who currently works for Fox Sports as a studio presenter for NASCAR coverage and as a side reporter for NFL games. She has won several Emmy awards for her work. Czarniak joined ESPN as an anchor for SportsCenter in August 2011 after six years at WRC-TV, a station owned and operated by NBC in Washington, DC. He left in 2017.
Lindsay was also a former co-host and reporter for The George Michael Sports Machine and a pit reporter and studio presenter for TBT’s coverage of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. She also worked for NBC Sports’ coverage of the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China, as a sports host and reporter.
Czarniak participated Centerville College and received her high school diploma in 1996. She later enrolled at James Madison University and graduated in journalism in 2000.
Despite joining Fox Sports, she previously worked for ESPN, anchoring SportsCenter, SportsNation and NASCAR Now from 2011 to 2017. During that time, she made history by being the first woman to broadcast ABC’s coverage of the Indianapolis 500. She hosts the Players podcast, which focuses on country music musicians and their sporting passions. Lindsay began hosting Netflix’s racing competition series Hyperdrive in August of this year. She also served as host of CNN’s Bleacher Report.

Czarniak also worked for WRC TV in Washington for several years, anchoring daily sports broadcasts, reporting on major events and co-hosting Sports Final, Redskins Report and The Coaches Show with Mike Shanahan. She is also the host and producer of Lunch with Lindsay, a sports resource in which she interviews famous athletes, politicians and artists. She was protégé of sportscaster and racing fanatic George Michael while in the WRC, who dubbed her “the best signing I ever made” and co-hosted The George Michael Sports Machine early in her career.
Czarniak’s first job in Washington was as a college intern for the WUSA before getting a position as a production assistant at CNN. She began her career as a reporter for WAWS/WTEV-TV in Jacksonville, Florida before moving on to WTVJ in Miami and Fox Sports’ Speed Channel as a reporter for ARCA RACING SERIES.
