Born and raised in Southern California, Carissa attended Biola University in Los Angeles, where she majored in broadcast journalism and majored in Spanish. At the University, she worked as a reporter for Eagle Vision News and also worked as a media relations intern at University Communications & Marketing.
In August 2013, Lehmmkuh joined WCAX-TV as a news intern in Burlington, Vermont. After spending a month at the station, Carissa joined Eagle Vision News as a news producer in August 2013. Eventually, she was promoted to serve as the station’s anchor and executive producer.
In January 2014, Lehmmkuh joined KTLA as a Tech Report intern in Greater Los Angeles. After interning for 5 months, Carissa joined KUSI Television as a news writer for Good Morning San Diego. After a year, she was promoted to work as a news producer for Good Morning San Diego.
Carissa’s next step landed her on KVEW TV as a reporter in the Richland, Kennewick, Pasco and Washington area. After a year, she was promoted to serve as an anchor and reporter.
