Carlos Diaz is an Emmy-winning morning news anchor and currently works as an anchor for 13Sunrise since 2020. He joined the WTHR news team in August 2016 as a reporter for Sunrise. Diaz has spent over 30 years in news, sports and entertainment.
He is a proud graduate of Indiana University, and he hasn’t forgotten his resident roots, hosting the Indianapolis “Heartland Film Festival”, the “Indiana Children’s Wish Fund” and a variety of Indy 500 events every year.
Diaz joined the WTHR news team in August 2016, working as a reporter for Sunrise, but later named 13Sunrise’s 2020 anchor. A native of Indiana, Carlos is thrilled to be back home. Carlos began his television career as a sports anchor and reporter for WSVN-TV in Miami, Florida.
