Carlos Diaz is an Emmy-winning morning news anchor and currently works as an anchor for 13Sunrise since 2020. He joined the WTHR news team in August 2016 as a reporter for Sunrise. Diaz has spent over 30 years in news, sports and entertainment.
He is a proud graduate of Indiana University, and he hasn’t forgotten his resident roots, hosting the Indianapolis “Heartland Film Festival”, the “Indiana Children’s Wish Fund” and a variety of Indy 500 events every year.
Diaz joined the WTHR news team in August 2016, working as a reporter for Sunrise, but later named 13Sunrise’s 2020 anchor. A native of Indiana, Carlos is thrilled to be back home. His career spans over 20 years in news, sports and entertainment, working in all aspects of media including television, radio, print and the Internet.
Carlos began his television career as a sports anchor and reporter for WSVN-TV in Miami, Florida.
