Carolyn Arlene Peck is an American television sportscaster and former college basketball coach. Caroly is currently an analyst for ESPN and the SEC Network’s women’s college basketball coverage. Peck is most popular as the head coach and senior supervisor for the Orlando Marvel of the WNBA.

Carolyn was born and raised in Jefferson City, Tennessee. She attended school at Jefferson County High School in Dandridge, Tennessee, where she played basketball. After graduating from high school, Peck enrolled at Vanderbilt University, where she received a degree in communications in 1988. During her time there, she also continued to play basketball, averaging 10.6 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. Carolyn also blocked 180 shots, breaking Vanderbilt’s women’s basketball career record.

Shortly after graduating from college, Carolyn got an offer to play professionally in Spain and work as a marketing consultant at a Nashville television station, as well as selling pharmaceuticals for a Fortune 500 company for two years. In 1991, Peck returned to basketball, but quit his jobs in Italy and Japan. In addition, she won the league championship in Japan for her team. Carolyn began her career as an assistant coach for the Tennessee Lady Vols under head coach Pat Summitt for two seasons.

Furthermore, Carolyn also served as an assistant coach at the University of Kentucky and Purdue University under Nell Fortner. Peck also played her role as head coach at Purdue for the 1998-1999 season, which included a season-opening defeat of NCAA champion, three-time NCAA champion Tennessee. record of 34-1.
