Carter Oosterhouse is a popular American television personality and former model who was born on September 19, 1976, in Traverse City, Michigan. He rose to fame as a carpenter on the TLC series Trading Spaces and hosted several home improvement and instructional television shows. Oosterhouse hosted three HGTV network shows Red Hot & Green, Carter Can and Million Dollar Rooms in 2008.
Carter began his career as a carpenter at the age of twelve, began learning carpentry as an apprentice to his neighbor, a carpenter. He continued working in carpentry and construction throughout the school following in the footsteps of his older brothers Tyler and Todd, who are also carpenters.
