Chris Plant biography
Chris Plante is an American journalist who hosts a syndicated radio talk show on WMAL Radio in Washington DC.
Plante has been broadcasting their shows from 9am to 11am weekdays on 105.9FM since October 2009 with guest hosts Mike Opelka and Mary Walter. Formally, he worked as Pentagon Correspondent on CNN for 17 years.
During that time, he reported on the Pentagon and the US Armed Forces. He made several trips including Vietnam, Indonesia, Africa, Saudi Arabia, parts of the former Soviet Union countryside and Bosnia where he went to work as a Military Affairs Producer, Task Editor and Senior Producer of National Security Matters.
Chris received the Edward R. Murrow Award for a full report on the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack from the Radio and Television News Directors Association (RTNDA).
Plant graduated from a local high school with his degree. Later, Chris joined the University of California at Santa Barbara from which he graduated in 1982.
