Madison Taylor Baez is an up-and-coming American actress and singer who is best known for playing the role of young Selena Quintanilla in Netflix’s “Selena: The Series” (2020) alongside Christian Serratos. She was named a superstar in the making by Harper’s Bazaar after the show’s December 2020 launch.
Madison has received wide recognition for playing the young Selena, as well as being the only cast member to use her powerful and soulful vocals in the Netflix series.
At age three, Taylor’s father introduced her to music, where she began to learn piano. She also developed her big, soulful voice by singing and memorizing hundreds of songs while flipping through her dad’s iTunes.
Madison even sang songs all day, every day, and anywhere for anyone who would listen. Her playlist ranged from Motown, the 70s, 80s, 90s, to the top songs of today Charlie Puth, Shawn Mendes, Bruno Mars, Meghan Trainor among others of her favorites.

However, in the course of the struggle, Madison realized that singing would be the best treatment not only for her sick father, but also for the entire family.
She always sang to him at his hospital bedside during his 2 years of chemotherapy treatment. Surprisingly, her father is now alive and free of cancer, a situation that has baffled doctors and corrupted the odds. In his statements, he always says that Madison’s voice is the absolute cure for her illness.
Madison got her first big hit when she performed the National Anthem for the LA Lakers. The performance led to her being asked to sing the National Anthem for the LA Dodgers, LA Kings, LA Rams, LA Galaxy and Harlem Globetrotters.

During the summer of 2020, Madison was the first 8-year-old in Orange County and LA Fairs history to perform two 40-minute shows alone singing 13 songs in front of a stunned crowd.
She has also appeared in national commercials for Walmart, Chevy, McDonald’s, KB Homes, Fujifilm, CLA Health, Pageant Of Masters Arts Festival, Live Pets Toy, Anti Smoking PSA and LA Metro join the movement’s campaigns. Furthermore, she co-starred in the award-winning movie “The Tooth Racket”.
