PSV Eindhoven forward Cody Gakpo has urged that Antony’s move to Ajax not affect his future, with the Dutchman proclaiming he has plenty of offers on the table.
The 23-year-old striker still has four years left in his grasp but is expected to leave PSV this pre-summer, resulting in a slump for Rangers in their ability to adapt to this season’s Champions League.
Among their admirers are United, who have agreed a €100m cost to sign another Eredivisie star like Antony, but United pundits are also keeping an eye on Gakpo and have not blocked the move for either.
After Sunday’s 6-1 win over Excelsior, in which Gakpo scored a goal and two aides, the Dutchman praised Antony for his trade and revealed he expects a reaction on his future soon.
“A great time to [Antony]…however, for me and my future, I feel like it has no effect,” Gakpo told ESPN.
“It looks like a puzzle, so over the next few days I’ll see which puzzle fits best. All things considered, it definitely wouldn’t be terrible to stay at PSV. We’ll see.”
Gakpo, who said he had “a few decisions”, was then seen to see if United are a guaranteed candidate for their brand.

“In all honesty,” said the striker. “I hear everything. I struggle to focus and not focus on that, but this is problematic.”
90min grabs Arsenal, Leeds, Southampton and Nottingham Forest all spoke to PSV about Gakpo eventually this summer, with the Dutch side focusing on they would rather not unload the striker.
Regardless, it was continually expected that PSV’s European fate would be a critical part of Gakpo’s future, and with the Dutch side failing to qualify, interest in him has increased.
