Colton Shone is an American journalist, three-time Emmy Award winner, currently working as a Morning News anchor and investigative reporter at KOB-TV (NBC- Affiliate) in the Albuquerque-Santa Fe, New Mexico metro area since November 2014. He is also a podcast host in Native America with Colton Shone.
Previously, Colton worked as an anchor/reporter on Tucson News Now from October 2013 to October 2015. Shone attended Arizona State University graduating with a master’s and bachelor’s degree in mass communication and journalism. He also went to Fudan University to study Business Journalism and to Tsinghua University to study International Business Journalism.
Colton was a reporter for KPHO, a Meredith Corporation, CBS5-Phoenix from 2010 to October 2013. He was also a freelance reporter at the Navajo Times in Phoenix for 4 years. However, Shone was also a special projects reporter for Eight, Arizona PBS, and an anchor for KTAR FM. He was also a Stringer on ABC Radio for 2 years and a Scripps Howard Scholar on ABC 15 (KNXV-TV) for 8 months starting in January 2010.
