Connie Inge-Lise Nielsen is a Danish actress best known for her roles in Gladiator, Devil’s Advocate and Wonder Woman. Nielsen is also the founder of The Human Needs Project and The Road To Freedom Scholarships. In addition, she received several awards, including the Best Actress Award for her role in the drama Brødre and Best Actress at the European Film Awards.
Nielsen was born in Frederikshavn and raised in the village of Elling. Her career started in her teens when she appeared alongside her mother in local sitcoms and variety shows. At 18, she went to Paris to pursue a career in acting and modeling. She later moved to Italy and attended drama school in Rome and in master classes at the Piccolo Teatro in Milan with Lydia Styx.
