Dana Arschin biography
Dana Archin is an American Emmy-winning journalist who is currently working as a reporter for Fox 5 News since joining the station in August 2016. She joined Fox 5 News from Brooklyn’s News 12 where she worked as a general reporter.
Arschin participated in the University of Delaware and graduated Cum Laude with a dual specialization in Communication and Spanish Studies. In addition, she has an honors master’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from the New York Institute of Technology.
Growing up on Long Island, Dana discovered her passion for journalism at a young age. She then made her broadcast debut in fifth grade, reporting for her elementary school’s first news station, Jackson Broadcasting Kids.
In 2018, Dana traveled to Poland to learn more about her ancestors killed in the Holocaust. From the tour, Arschin filmed and wrote three Fox 5 films on his journey. One of them, ‘The Forgotten Camps’, won a NY Emmy Award.
During her service on News 12, Dana also won an NY Emmy Award for her reporting on Brooklyn’s city cleanup efforts during the 2014 snowstorms.
