Danielle Trotta is an American journalist and TV personality from New York City. She is widely recognized for covering various motorsports updates for Sirius XM and for appearing as a co-host on NASCAR Race Hub. Trotta also hosts NASCAR shows like Race Hub and NASCAR Race Day for the Xfinity series and FOX Sports 1. Previously, she worked as a sportscaster for NBC Sports Boston and NFL Sports.
Trotta was born in upscale Westchester County, New York City, but raised in Richmond, Indiana. She grew up the daughter of a basketball coach named Dan Trotta. Therefore, her father was the one who influenced Trotta’s love of sports from a very young age. Danielle started her high school education in Carmel after her family moved again for business reasons.
Trotta attended Carmel High School and balanced her studies while working for a 24-hour TV station in her hometown from 1995 to 1999. She was also an active high school swimmer who competed in around three consecutive state championships. Trotta scored extremely well on his final high school exams and entered the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Trotta then graduated from the University in mass communication and journalism in early 2006.
Danielle began her career as a journalist by doing various internships at various Indianapolis-based stations such as WCNC News and WBTV News. She first worked as a photographer and science assistant until her college graduation. Trotta made her first TV debut as a weekend sports anchor for WBTV News in 2007.
