Sarah Sherman, also known professionally as Sarah Squirm, is an American comedian, actress, and screenwriter. Sherman is known for using surreal comedy and body horror. She became a featured actress on the NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live starting with its 47th season in October 2021. Furthermore, Sarah is known for acting in films such as Three Busy Debras (2020), Flayaway ( 2018) and Nimona (2023).
Born and raised in Long Island, New York, United States. Sarah attended and graduated from Great Neck South High School. She subsequently enrolled at Northwestern University where she received her degree in theater in 2014. Sarah started her acting journey in Chicago where she had a monthly show called Helltrap Nightmare alongside Luke Taylor, Scott Egleston and David Brown. In 2018, she made her television debut in an Adult Swim infomercial entitled “Flayaway”. Sarah has also written shows like The Eric Andre Show, Three Busy Debras, and Magic for Humans.
Furthermore, in 2019, Sherman, along with fellow comedian Eric André, launched a new show called the Legalize Everything tour. Sarah was introduced to act on the NBC sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live in its 47th season along with James Austin Johnson and Aristotle Athari. For his remarkable style and unusual way of adapting the character without losing its effect, Sherman won positive praise from the viewer. In 2022, she was cast in a screenwriter movie called the sequel “Jackass Forever”. For her next project, Sarah would be seen starring in Adam Sandler’s Netflix comedy film You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah with Idina Menzel, Luis Guzmán and Ido Mosseri.
