Danny Freeman is an American journalist who is currently working as a reporter for NBC10 in Philadelphia since joining the station in January 2021. Freeman joined NBC10 from NBC 7 San Diego where he worked as a political reporter and presenter.
Born in New York, Danny became interested in journalism in high school. He then joined Dartmouth College where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree, Cum Laude in Political Science and Government in 2013.
During his time in college, Danny interned at different institutions, including as a summer employee: McDonald’s Internship, as well as a global leadership intern at the Rockefeller Center for Public Policy of Dartmouth College.
After graduation, Freeman landed his first job as a political journalist and online media producer at Colombia Reports in Medellín, Colombia. Shortly thereafter, he moved to New York to join NBCUniversal, working for the East Coast Page. In March 2015, Danny started working as a desk assistant at NBC Nightly News.
After spending 2 years at NBC News, Freeman moved to Bakersfield, California to work as a reporter for KGET TV17. On the station, Danny reported for two Edward R. Murrow Award-winning broadcasts and two Emmy Award-winning broadcasts.
In August 2018, Danny joined NBC 7 San Diego to work as a political reporter and presenter. After working for the station for two and a half years, he moved to NBC10 News in Philadelphia, where he currently works as a reporter.
