David Portnoy Biography
David Portnoy is an American IT celebrity, blogger and founder of the sports and pop culture blog Barstool Sports. Barstool Sports is a blog network that provides content for the fraternity sports fan set, from quick takes on media and culture to direct video aggregation.
Portnoy grew up in Swampscott, where he studied Swampscott High School in Massachusetts. ESPN’s Todd McShay was one of his classmates. In 1995, Portnoy began attending University of Michigan, majoring in education.
