Prior to joining her current station, she worked as a reporter and anchor for WSYX based in Columbus, Ohio. This was immediately after his graduation in 1990.
She attended and graduated from a local high school in Hudson, Ohio. Later, she graduated with a degree in broadcast journalism from Miami University in Miami, Florida. This was in 1990. She started her career as a trainee reporter for WSYX News in Ohio. There, she gained experience covering live field reports and editing impactful news. This provided trust and credibility among their viewers.
