Deirdre Fitzpatrick is an American journalist who currently works as a night anchor and reporter for KCRA 3 News. She joined KCRA 3 News on New Year’s Eve in 1997 and is currently the anchor of the station’s 11pm news. Prior to joining KCRA, she worked at KCCI-TV in Des Moines, Iowa. Furthermore, she is a four-time Emmy Award winner for writing, anchoring, and reporting.
Born in Manchester, she attended and graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a BA in Journalism. After joining KCRA, Fitzpatrick began a whole new life of exploration. She traveled with photographer Mike Domalaog as a member of the Hearst Television Olympic.
Together they covered nine Olympics. She currently serves on the board of the Sacramento Running Association. Furthermore, she is an 18-time marathon runner, ultra runner, and Ironman triathlete.
