Denis Middleton Biography
Denise Middleton is an American journalist who currently works as an anchor and weekend morning reporter at FOX 26 News. Middleton is a Houston native who grew up in southwest Houston. She is thrilled to be a part of the FOX 26 News team.
Denise was motivated to pursue a career as a journalist while growing up in Houston. She is a Tiago Madison Middle School and University of Houston graduate.
In addition, she has received scholarships from several local organizations, including the Linda Lorelle Scholarship Foundation, the Evan E. Worthing Scholarship Fund, and the Soul-Patrol Scholarship Program, founded by former Presidents George HW Bush and Bill Clinton.
Additionally, she was chosen to give the keynote address at a fundraising gala for Soul-Patrol during her senior year of high school, with former President George HW Bush and former First Lady Barbara Bush in attendance. She gained the confidence she needed to pursue a career in broadcast journalism after that.
Denise got her first job in Hastings, Nebraska, as a general mission reporter. She then moved south to ShreveportLouisiana, where he worked as an anchor and morning reporter.
After five years as a night anchor in Little Rock, Arkansas, Denise returns to FOX 26 Houston. She was a key member of the team that covered the controversial executions of many Arkansas inmates in 2017.

Over the course of his career, Middleton has covered a wide range of natural calamities, from tornadoes to winter storms. The National Association of Black Journalists is one of his professional associations.
Furthermore, Denise enjoys volunteering, mentoring, watching movies, cheering for the University of Houston Cougars at all their sporting events and spending time with her husband and children in her leisure time.
