Doug Marcaida is a Filipino-American martial artist, sharp weapons specialist and knife designer. However, he gained fame for his role as a judge on the History Channel show Forged in Fire. He is also skilled and famous for his amazing interpretation of the Southeast martial arts style, evolving his own style called Marcaida Kali 20 years ago.
Known by his popular motto, KEAl (Keep Everyone Alive) he attended Colegio San Agustin in Makati, Philippines. He also went to Aquinas High School (a private school) in the Bronx, New York and also graduated from McQuaid Jesuit High School. However, he is a US military veteran who has served in the US Air Force for around 8 years. He later pursued a career as a respiratory therapist for two decades.
