Eric Stone is an American meteorologist currently working as a meteorologist at WFLA in Florida, United States of America. He joins the WFLA in October 2021 from FOX 4 in Fort Myers, where he worked as a weekend weatherman. He also worked at WINK-TV before joining FOX 4 News.
Talking about his education, he attended and graduated from Plymouth State University in Plymouth with double degrees in meteorology and applied mathematics. He later attended the University of Utah where he graduated with a Masters in Meteorology.
In addition, he earned the AMS seal of approval in May 2009. He has also earned the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist seal of approval from the American Meteorological Society. Stone began his television career at KSTU FOX 13 in Salt Lake in 2001 as a producer and meteorologist.
After a few months, he was promoted to air meteorologist before moving to sunny southwest Florida. While in southwest Florida, he also did weather observation at Salt Lake City International Airport. When he is off duty, he loves bowling. He also has a thing for pinball that all started at a local pinball club in Fort Myers called Pinball Asylum.
