Erin Ivory is an Emmy Award-winning American journalist currently working as a feature reporter for the WGN Evening News. She joined WGN-TV in April 2011. Also, after many years working with the WGN Morning News staff, Erin doesn’t wake up early after joining the station’s Evening News staff.
In her new role, Ivory is enjoying herself as she carefully shares the stories of ordinary people doing good and amazing things across Chicagoland. Prior to joining WGN-Tv, she circled a 90 mile radius around Chicago, working as an anchor and reporter in Milwaukee, South Bend and Rockford.
Erin graduated from columbia college in Chicago with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism.
Ivory began her career as a news anchor and general reporter at WDJT-TV in South Bend, Indiana. She worked at WREX-TV in Rockford, Illinois as a morning reporter and anchor. She also helped launch the station’s online traffic reporting program ‘CommunterCast’ in 2007 and anchored on CLTV.
