Prior to that, he worked at Ecology Communications Group, Inc. as an ecology weather specialist. He has also worked as a weather presenter at KTRK-TV in Houston and WLOX in Biloxi.
Frank also wrote a book titled; Swabbed and Found: An Adopted Man’s DNA Journey to Discover His Family Tree. Billingsley went to Washington and Lee University in 1978 and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism in 1989. In 1987, he was at Mississippi State University 1987 where he earned a Certification in Broadcast Meteorology (1989).
Frank is a seven-time recipient of the Associated Press’s Best Weather Awards. He has won the Houston Press Club and Houston Press Newspaper awards four times and the Dallas Press awards three times. He was named The Houston Chronicle’s Ultimate Weatherman in September 2017.
