Graham Richardson is a Canadian journalist who currently works as the Chief News Anchor at CTV News Ottawa. He also anchors station 6 and the afternoon newscast on Newstalk 580 CFRA. Before resuming his current role, he worked covering Parliament for nearly four years. He has also reported from Kandahar, Afghanistan.
Prior to his assignment on Parliament Hill, he was CTV’s Los Angeles bureau chief, covering the Michael Jackson Trail and Hurricane Katrina, among other stories. Before actually joining CTV News, he was the Queen’s Park bureau chief for Global News. Graham spent eight years in Alberta before joining Global News.
Born in Connecticut, Canada, he attended and graduated from Queen’s University with a bachelor’s degree. He also earned a postgraduate degree from the University of King’s College in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Richardson worked for the CBC in Calgary, Alberta until his departure in 1997. When he is off duty, he loves to volunteer and, along with his wife, they are active dance partners.
