Harry Holm is an English actor and film director best known as the son of the late Ian Holm and Sophie Baker. Her father Ian Holmes died on June 19, 2020 after a long struggle with an illness related to Parkinson’s disease.
His first acting role was as a baby. In the 1981 BBC radio version of “The Lord of the Rings”, Harry’s cry was used for the role of Elanor Gamgee, daughter of Samwise.

Sir Ian Holm Cuthbert CBE, better known as Ian Holm, was an English actor who appeared on stage and in films. He won the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Play in 1967 for his portrayal of Lenny in The Homecoming and the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Play in 1998 for his performance as King Lear.
He was nominated for an Oscar for his portrayal of track and field coach Sam Mussabini in Chariots of Fire, for which he won the 1981 BAFTA Award for Best Supporting Actor. On June 19, 2020, Harry lost his father while he was in the hospital after suffering from an illness related to Parkinson’s disease for a while. His agent confirmed the sad news to the public. Ian died at the age of 88 years.
