James Arthur Bio (Age)
In 1988, on 2 March, James Arthur was born in Middleborough, England, to a Scottish father named Neil Arthur from his English wife Shirley Arthur. The love that once existed between his parents left them when James was 2 years old. Not only did they divorce, but they quickly settled in with their respective new partners, as if they were both suffocating each other as man and wife.
However, their little son still had his life ahead of him. He was enrolled at Ings Farm Primary School in Redcar, North Yorkshire to begin his primary education and later, when he was 9 years old, he moved with his stepfather and mother to Bahrain where he continued his education at the British School of Bahrain. After some time his mother separated from his stepfather, and the young boy returned to England to complete his education at Redcar’s Rye Hills School.
James Arthur’s interest in music began to manifest itself when he was 15 years old. At that time he was writing his own songs and working with some popular brands. James Arthur auditioned for the talent scouting show The X Factor, whereupon he emerged as one of the 12 best participants. He was later to emerge as one of the best of the best on December 9th, when he received the most votes against Jahmene Douglas.
After this victory, James Arthur’s winning song Impossible was released as a charity single, which sold 5 million copies worldwide and was clearly the fastest-selling X Factor winning single of the time.
