Biography of Jan Markell
Jan Markell is an American speaker, radio host, and author who happens to be the founder and director of Olive Tree Ministries.
Olive Tree Ministry was founded in 1982 and is located in Maple Grove, Minnesota, a suburb of Minneapolis. Her ministry began after she visited Israel in the 1970s and was also involved with Messianic Judaism.
After launching Olive Tree, Jan ministered to hundreds of women’s groups, churches, house parties, and a few men’s groups. Her audience was excited as she shared Israel-focused messages on prophecy, Bible prophecy, Jewish evangelism, Christ at Passover and current events.
In 1985, Jan suffered from chronic fatigue syndrome and was forced to reduce her ministry. Miraculously, she battled her illness for over 2 decades until her health was restored.
As a radio host, she hosts Understanding the Times which is a syndicated radio show and podcast on Salem Radio Network. In addition to hosting, she holds an annual prophecy conference that attracts an annual audience of 4,000 people a day.
