Jeff Butera biography
Jeff Butera is an American journalist who currently works as an anchor at ABC7 since joining the network in April 2012. Prior to joining the current network, he worked across the State of the Sun.
He grew up in Orlando, where he attended high school, literally across the street from Universal Studios. Jeff later graduated summa cum laude from the University of Florida.
After covering news in nearly every part of Florida, Jeff is happy to now make his home in the Fort Myers area, joining ABC7 as the station’s main anchor. It anchors the afternoon and evening news.
His work in the news business has earned him three Emmy Awards and ten Emmy nominations. Additionally, the Associated Press named him ‘Best Reporter’ twice. When he’s off duty, he enjoys reading, writing and rooting for the Chicago Cubs.
