Jim Nantz is an American television personality, sportscaster author, and actor. He is best known for serving on the National Football Class (NFL), National University Athletic Affiliation (NCAA) Division I, and PGA Visit broadcasts for CBS Sports. He is also known as the commentator for CBS’s top play-by-play group of 2004. Nantz has also anchored CBS’ coverage of the Masters Tournament since 1989.
Nantz went to school at Marlboro High School and was co-captain of the basketball team and co-captain. He was also the number one player on the golf team. He also studied at the University of Houston and majored in broadcasting. In addition, he played on the Houston Cougars men’s golf team where he interacted with future professional golfers such as Fred Couples and Blaine McCallister.
