Josh Hinkle is a renowned American Director of Investigations and Innovation at KXAN, he leads the station’s DuPont and IRE award-winning investigation team across multiple platforms. In addition, he leads KXAN’s political coverage as an executive producer and host of “State of Texas,” a weekly program focused on the Texas Legislature and elections, as inside 14 markets across the state.

Josh received his bachelor’s degrees in journalism and Spanish from Oklahoma State University, later earned his master’s in journalism and public policy from the University of Missouri. He teaches broadcast journalism at St. Edward in Austin. In addition, he has been a guest speaker at the University of Texas and the University of Missouri, as well as hosting political, investigative, and multiplatform coverage workshops for the Texas Broadcasters Association.
