Josh Landon is a renowned American journalist who currently works at FOX 2 News as an anchor/reporter. He works at Fox 2 News serving his viewers in his hometown of Metro Detroit. Landon was born in Detroit, grew up on the east side of the city, attended Denby High School, and earned a degree in journalism from Eastern Michigan University.

Landon began his broadcasting career as an assistant editor at WLNS-TV6 in Lansing, Michigan. Later he worked in Florida at Fort Myers, also worked as a freelancer at WTVJ in Miami. Additionally, he worked at WRIC-TV8 in Richmond, Virginia as a fill-in anchor. Now, he is back in his home state. His mother told him the importance of knowing what was going on around him during his childhood, and he had a passion for local news.
Landon remembers that at the age of 4 or 5 they were at the Detroit International Auto Show, while they were seeing the car, suddenly a news crew approached them and interviewed them. It was a pleasant experience that he remembers to this day.
Also, he recalls that when he was a kid walking around Eastland Mall, he noticed a weatherman shopping with his kids and followed them around until he caught his eye, the man introduced himself, shook his hand and wished him a good day.
Furthermore, at the age of 15, he got his first job at McDonald’s just outside Eastland Mall. He worked at the drive-thru one day, an hour when a news crew would come by to pick up food.
Also, he ran into local TV personalities on more than one occasion as a child, he truly believes that it was God’s plan for him to have journalism as a profession.
Josh realized that broadcast journalism would be his career at age 19. During his sophomore year of college at EMU, he was in high school and talked to a friend from college about his internships at FOX 2 NEWS and radio station 97.9. She told him her experiences and decided to give it a try.
He’s glad he did. From the moment he saw anchors and reporters doing their jobs, he was officially hooked and knew it was the right job for him. He spent about 8 years in the business, working in different cities before finally returning home. He is so happy to be back in the city he loves so much.
